World Mathematics Tournament
Competition Rules & Regulations
Please read these rules carefully before registering. Participation in WMT implies acceptance of all rules and regulations stated below.
Eligibility
- Open to students of Classes 5 to 10.
- Participants compete within their own class group.
- Open to students from any country or region.
- Both individual and school (bulk) registrations are accepted.
Registration
- Registration must be completed before the published deadline.
- Details submitted must be accurate; certificates are issued accordingly.
- Enrolment is confirmed only after payment, where applicable.
- Enrolment in the Trial Round is compulsory to proceed.
Rounds & Format
- Three rounds: Trial Round → National Round → Grand Finale.
- Conducted in online mode under supervised conditions.
- Each round has a fixed duration announced in advance.
- Format includes M.C.Q. and short-answer questions.
Examination Conduct
- Participants must log in on time using their own credentials.
- The test must be attempted by the registered participant only.
- A stable internet connection and supported device are required.
- Once submitted, responses are final and cannot be changed.
Fair Means & Integrity
- No external help, sharing, or discussion during a round.
- No prohibited devices, software, or reference material.
- Impersonation or proxy participation is strictly prohibited.
- Violations result in immediate disqualification.
Results & Ranking
- Rankings are published per class group.
- Global and country-wise leaderboards are maintained.
- Ties are resolved using tiebreaker criteria set by WMT.
- WMT’s decisions on results are final and binding.
Awards & Honors
- Gold Honor: top 10% of each group.
- Silver Honor: next 15% of each group.
- Bronze Honor: next 20% of each group.
- Champion, National Star & International Star awards.
Certificates
- Every participant completing the National Round receives a Certificate of Participation.
- Qualifiers and top performers receive certificates of merit.
- Certificates carry a unique ID with online validation.
Code of Conduct
- Participants must act with honesty and respect at all stages.
- Schools and coordinators must ensure fair supervision.
- WMT may verify identity and eligibility at any stage.
- WMT reserves the right to amend rules with prior notice.
